Ǝchange is Cameroon's free marketplace app for fashion and beauty. Buy, sell or swap clothes, shoes, bags, cosmetics and beauty services, directly between people, with no commission on sales.
The idea came from watching how clothes and cosmetics are actually sold in Cameroon today. Almost all of it happens on WhatsApp statuses, in Facebook Marketplace groups, on Instagram pages and on TikTok. It works, thousands of people make a living from it, but none of those tools was built for selling. There is no catalogue. There is no search. A status disappears after 24 hours. A buyer who saw a bag last week cannot find it again. A seller has no way to prove she is serious, and a buyer has no way to check....
