ZHOD is a Cameroonian design and manufacturing brand creating timeless fiberglass products including flower pots, center tables, side tables, consoles and decorative pieces for homes, offices, hotels and commercial spaces.
ZHOD was born from the founder's struggle with unemployment. Instead of waiting for a job opportunity, the founder decided to create one. The journey started with producing simple decorative products using cement. Through learning, experimentation and reinvestment, the business gradually evolved into fiberglass manufacturing. This transition opened opportunities to create more modern, durable and innovative designs. Today, ZHOD produces fiberglass flower pots, tables, consoles, lighting sculptures and customized pieces. The business has now developed a new collection of timeless products and is ready for its next stage: expanding production, reaching new markets and building a leading Cameroonian and West African design and manufacturing brand.
Achievements
ZHOD has grown from a small initiative producing cement-based decorative products into a fiberglass design and manufacturing company. We have developed the capacity to produce flower pots, center tables, side tables, consoles, lighting sculptures and customized products. We recently completed a new collection of fiberglass products designed around modern and timeless aesthetics. We have also built practical experience in fiberglass production, product development and finishing. Most importantly, we have proven that a business can grow from very limited resources into a manufacturing enterprise. We are now ready to increase production, serve larger customers and expand into new markets.
Business Impact
ZHOD contributes to the community by creating employment and developing practical manufacturing skills. As the business grows, we plan to employ more young people in fiberglass production, product finishing, design, installation, sales, marketing and administration. We also want to provide hands-on training that gives local workers and young people practical skills they can use to secure employment or start their own businesses. By manufacturing locally, ZHOD also contributes to the local economy through the purchase of materials and services. Our story demonstrates that entrepreneurship can turn unemployment into opportunity and create jobs for others while building locally made products for the market.
Future Goals
ZHOD's ambition is to become a leading design and manufacturing brand in Cameroon and West Africa. Our immediate goal is to expand our factory, increase production and reach new customers and markets across Cameroon. Over the next 10 years, we aim to build a business generating more than 1 billion FCFA in annual revenue, supported by a strong product portfolio, modern manufacturing facilities, skilled employees and regional distribution networks. We also plan to develop new product lines, create more employment opportunities and train young people in manufacturing and design. Our long-term vision is to build a proudly African brand known for quality, creativity and timeless design.
Investment or Sponsorship Use
The 50,000,000 FCFA investment will be used to expand ZHOD's factory, purchase and upgrade manufacturing equipment, increase working capital for raw materials and improve production efficiency. Part of the investment will support the launch and marketing of our new product collection, including fiberglass pots, center tables, side tables and consoles. We will also invest in distribution and sales systems to reach customers across Cameroon and new West African markets. As production grows, the investment will enable us to create new jobs and provide practical training in fiberglass production, finishing, design and other manufacturing skills.
